I need some ideas for improvising good solos besides the using the pentatonic scale? Maybe some new scales to mess around with that sound good? When I use pentatonic it sounds great, but alot of my solos are starting to sound alike.

I also need some suggestions to make them sound more "rock"ish, i love playing blues but I want to learn how to do some nice sounding rock solos.

Thanks.
Now do you believe in rock and roll?

use the full scale. instead of using A minor pentatonic use A minor. or try learning the harmonic and melodic scales(melodic is a very tricky scale so try that later). they sound really cool and classical.

Yeah you can use the major scale while using the pentatonic, it adds extra notes to make your pentatonic soloing more dynamic and can sound more classical-ish, which a lot of metal bands use.
