was pretty goddamn funny, he ws knocked out in 54 seconds

he was fighting some colombian called prescott, prescott knocked him down, he got back up but was completely gone and went back down pretty quick again,

Incase you don't know I will say Amir Khan is a 21 year old british boxer who thinks he is the best boxer who ever lived and people generally thought if he fought someone good he would get beat, that just happened

I always said he'd get knocked out when he came up against someone half decent.

he's fought nobodies prior to this and his last fight was a struggle.

I'm so happy lol.

It's true, I saw it on sky sports news a few seconds ago.

British boxer who got a silver in the 2004 olympics.

everyone raved over him, said he was awesome. turned professional, media raved even more, fought nobodies and beat them, media hailed him as awesome, fought more nobodies, and struggled against one in his last fight, still awesome but now 'had a bit further to go before he was a true boxing great' or some other crap and now in his first fight against someone half decent he's knocked out in less than a minute.

that's a general overview of his 'career' so far.

my point was that he wasn't a decent opponent. he was way past his prime and was already on a losing streak which would have affected his confidence as well as his condition.

and yet despite all this, he still managed to knock khan down.

it was more of a reflection on khan rather than a comment on Gomez.

Ah I see. That said, Gomez put up a pretty good fight for a while. I was rooting for him to beat Khan. Shame it wasn't him to do it, it would have sealed his career and made a great ending to the movie.

...Imagine if you paid to see that fight and got just 54 seconds.

Not a big boxing fan but did catch some of the build-up to this on sky sports news. It sounded like a fight he was expected to win fairly comfortably Less than a minute and he's knocked out!

Khan is a lightweight. Went to the pub with him on saturday and he didnt even get a round in.

I watched that match and I swear to God, Gomez was the better, harder fighter. I know which of the two I'd rather fight in a pub brawl.
