I just took one run at this and I want some opinions on my actual skill. (This take was done before I put a sock over my nut, by the way.... I'm also using a Strat, so the pickups aren't exactly meant for this kind of playing, so it may seem kind of muddy.) http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/Karlboy/skills/play409936 Rate and comment, if you would. Thank you.

Yeah, thanks. Not a lot of people like the distortion I typically use, so you're not alone.

dude that's sweet! i wish i had the patience to practice sweeping, but i don't really play music that needs sweeping so i guess it really doesn't matter.

and the distortion reminds me of old Nintendo games

Sounds pretty tight to me. Where in Ontario are you?

Not sure why this is in the recording forum though....

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com

Ha! Checked out your show listings. We've played the Westside a couple of times. It was a five minute walk from my house until last year. Now it is a five minute drive.

Dalewood is about a ten minute walk from my house. I had one friend who taught there, and another who teaches there now. One of my kids will be going there year after next. I used to live literally across the street from that school - on Haddon next to the Mr. Sub.

Did you have a Mr. Miller? I'm pretty sure he taught language.

Haha... small world. Good guy. He and I taught together before he went to Dalewood and I went to Memorial. Before that, he worked with my wife. His son and one of my daughters were born within about 8 hours of each other at the same hospital. We hung out together on the ward.
