untangle it when you start playing, and dont move around. or when you do move around, make sure you back track to untangle the cable

Untangle it first and then wrap it nicely. When you're gonna use it again only untangle the length that you're gonna be using and leave the rest nicely tied up with one of those wire thingies that are used to tie up bread bags.

Get a smaller cable for room practice. I only use a 5m cable for home and it onyl tangles a bit. Also, get into the habit of taking the cable out once your done playing. Because the cable is small, it generally tends to untangle itself when its not pluged in. Every once in a while you'll still have to untangle it by hand.
