ok i know thres been a few threads on this,but i dont unerstand half of the stuff on it
im not good with the technical talk
so coud someone please tell me simply how to tune in DAFCBC
like,what frets to use to tune it

well drop ur guitar to drop D, by using open e and open d, to match
then use the normal 5-5-5-4-5 technique to have the guitar tuned to d standard
then use the low d and open c and make them match and whola drop C

Basicly instead of tuning your guitar using the 5th frets, tune to the 3rd fret for instance play the 3rd fret on the 2nd string and tune down the first string until they match. do this for every string (except the 2nd string where you use the 4th fret on the 3rd string) then on the last string tune useing the 7th fret on the 6th string string to get the "dropped" part

so its a bit like tuning in d standard, eccept you use different frets???

Read the tuning htread at the very top of this forum.
It will tell you how to tune to drop C.
Been away, am back
