Hey UGer's,

I was inspired by an article in the recent edition of total guitar to modify my entry level dean into a great sounding beast.

Thing is after doing the math for all the pickups, pots, wire etc it would cost around £170 but i brought the guitar for £180 so my question would be is it worth it or should i save up for something better???

Since you already bought the guitar, that price doesn't count towards the total of modding it, so if you can find a better guitar for less than what you would spend on modding it, then go ahead and by it. Personally, i'd mod it. In the end, you feel better and closer to your guitar, since in a way its your creation.

You only have one lifetime. USE IT!!!

Yeah man, it'll be your own Frankenstr - errr, Franken... beast?

I think it's a cool idea though. With mods you can change and alter what YOU want down to the last detail.
