I am getting a Warwick Thumb BO 4 string used and the strings that are on it are torn up and shot. Apart from Ernie, what kind of strings should I use? I play heavy rock, but need it for church music. I prefer 45s, but then again, I am submitting myself to the knowledge of the bass forum, so I will take any suggestions.

I am not partial to price...

If you're in the UK check out Stadium Elites. If not, rotos and Elixirs are great.
Congratulations on the bass, can we get pics when you get it?

I think you need to stop caring what people think about it. I stayed home all day today and masturbated like 5 times. Fucking blast.

If you can get hold of them, Stadium Elites are the Holy Grail of strings.

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

For Elites, you are really SOL. I managed a lucky charms for Elites trade to get a set myself.

I like Rotos myself. D'Addario's are also a decent brand in my book.

Then you'd have to pay import; in that case go for Roto Swing66's or some Elixers

Personally I like the feel of DR strings. I have a set of Black Beauties by DR on my Ibanez. IT's a matter of preference, really.
