We're not gonna sell out.

All the money you could want
and not a penny we've earned
cause we've changed our lives and changed our ways
and left everyone else so burned
and now were big and now were famous
and we've abandoned all we know
for fame and fortune and everything else
and yet again, just here we go

oh were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out
no were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out

coming from a tiny town
fame isn't the easiest to find
but we managed to make it in due time
when we cut our hair and changed our minds
and now we've moved to another big city
just to please the men upstairs
and we never even care to think
about our old friends in the same old lairs

oh were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out
no were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out

but in the end it all goes bad
and your sour grapes will turn to wine
when we all come back crawling home
and nothing that remains is yours or mine
but we had our place and we had our time
and it was good while we were on top
but it all went bad and we lost ourselves
and now the big men groom a new crop

oh were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out
no were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out.

Get him into blues. Lyrical depth-not so much. But it is groovy and it is black people's music so if he doesn't enjoy then he is not a true black person.

We're not gonna sell out.

All the money you could want
and not a penny we've earned
this is a good start
cause we've changed our lives and changed our ways
and left everyone else so burned
this provides alot of detail
and now were big and now were famous
and we've abandoned all we know
for fame and fortune and everything else
and yet again, just here we go
the last line is def. forced for rhyme, it could work in a song though, so far this is great

oh were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out
no were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out
is it repetitive? hell yeah, but this looks like it could be pretty catchy

coming from a tiny town
fame isn't the easiest to find
but we managed to make it in due time
when we cut our hair and changed our minds
and now we've moved to another big city
the above line doesn't really flow
just to please the men upstairs
and we never even care to think
about our old friends in the same old lairs
don't like this as much as the first verse, it's a bit bland

oh were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out
no were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out

but in the end it all goes bad
and your sour grapes will turn to wine
great line above
when we all come back crawling home
and nothing that remains is yours or mine
but we had our place and we had our time
and it was good while we were on top
but it all went bad and we lost ourselves
great two lines above, really contradict each other, i love that in lyrics, its very kurt cobain-ish
and now the big men groom a new crop

oh were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out
no were not gonna
were not gonna
were not gonna
sell out sell out.

this looks like it could be cathcy as hell, props for doin your thing

Peace out- Matlock

I have one floating around if ya wanna take a look at it that'd be great

its really upbeat. easy to catch. I can read it and hear it in my head as a song, you kept rythym really well. The end of the second verse seems a little forced. But I love the way you condiscend sell-outs. Thats gonna get me to like you instantly. Yay for rock n roll!
