This evening I decided to peek in the window of a small local music store to see what they had (Sunday, closed) and Staring me in the face was an Ltd B-50, for $129 USD, "pre owned". I haven't tried it out, but I've been curious about getting a bass since where I live 90% kids who play a "rock" instrument play guitar, so a cheap but useful bass would be a nice option when I jam.

So, $129, great deal or don't even bother? (I am going to try it out, and I know I need an amp)

I think it's called "Best Buy" not "Bass Buy"

It's your first bass right?
It should be a pretty good beginners bass unless the pevious owner destroyed it.
and you won't get better for only $129.

Spam. And not clever or wity in the least.

I would stay away from that bass, I have yet to play an LTD that felt solid to me. I think you would be better off getting an Ibanez or a Squier.
