Hey guys. I just borrowed a Boss DD7-delay pedal by a friend, and I was thinking of making a Fall of Troy cover. But I can't really find the same delay-setting that Thomas uses in FCPREMIX. Can anyone help me?

Nope, watch a live video on youtube where he changes the delay time to what he needs, then match it with the delay time on the DD7 - easy!

He saying, use your ear and match up the repeats/decay/etc...

Ohhh...

Well that's not easy either. I was just wondering if somene else uses the DD7 and knows what settings sound good to the song. It doesn't have to be just like Thomas's, as long as it sounds ok.

Yes it is! just turn the delay time knob till it matches his delay, how much easier can it get

Hey I have DD7 too, and i tried to do sound similar to fpcremix, and that's what i've got:

It's pretty similar, but i think that Thomas uses a couple of delay pedals.

those setting are perfect on the delay time but are off on the feedback.

on the beggining u can perfectly hear his delay
hope that helps so u can get it better.
btw he only uses one delay on this song although he does have 3 on his pedal board

Set it to 800ms and turn the delay down below about 8-9 o' clock.
The feedback should be at about 10-11 o' Clock if I remember correctly.

Make sure you palm mute the riff too, that just completes the whole thing.

You do realize that this thread is from 7 1/2 months ago, right? I'm sure the TS has solved his delay problem by now...

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
