Basically this thread idea comes from the fact that I'm sat here in my little flat eating the Schokoküsse that I bought from a local supermarket and they're delicious.

What foods do you love that don't come from your home country?

I think they're meant to be like teacakes? Idk, never had a teacake

Thin chocolate exterior with marshmallow-flavoured whipped cream centres and a wafer-ish bottom.

Also I think Doritos may be american aye.

+3468902803 to Hersheys, obv.

EDIT: ^^^ depends on which country you bought them from I guess.
The Canadian, American, and British Oreos are made by different people. Got a box of Canadian Oreos in my kitchen.... aaaand realised I left my pocky at home

I'll get them at the weekend, they're yummehhh.

I think Walkers produce them in the UK, not 100% on that though.

It's not really marshmallow. It's some sort of cream that retains its shape.

I have my russian wives specially imported. I've got a bit addicted actually, I now have my own container to bring them across, and I had to have an extension to cope with them all.

I get thousands of those in my native Austria!

My favourite imported treats would be American cigarettes, mainly USA Gold 100s
And Jamaican blockweed

I'd move to France if Walkers would for some reason start making tomato quavers over there. I miss them.

Even more importantly, what the heck is a Cyprus Delight?

Turkish delight is an oddly coloured lump of sugar mixed with starch, of a similar consistency to jelly, only less wobbly and more elastic. It's also excessively sweet and will murder your teeth. Also available with nuts.

No idea about Cyprus Delight.

I love those. I freeze them in the freezer, peel the chocolate, lick the frozen sweet stuff in the middle and eat the cookie at the bottom last.

EDIT:
Also, I'm a sucker for czech beer.
<Omri> I love trannys too..

I love Lapinkulta and Karjala beer, both from Finland, but I assume you were talking about sweet treats...

This packet of finnish sweets that's some nice wine gum-like sweets and some that are salt liquorice salmiakki and disgusting. It's like russian roulette

Well they're totally different colours, but if one were to dip into the packet without looking one may get a nasty salmiakki suprise.

Also marabou chocolate from Sweden. You can get it in Ikea for like £2 a bar =(
#39
Not sure. Most stuff they make in the States they also make in Canada. I can't really think of European stuff either

basically exactly the same as turkish delights but made in cyprus and marketed under the name cyprus delights

EDIT -> not really a food but I LOVE mountain dew, but its really hard to get hold of over here

there's a stall on the market that sells cans for like £1.20 each ($2.10) and I've also found it in some shops in chinatown - birmingham
