So I've been GASing for the V50 for awhile now. I've seen all the Youtube demo vids and I love it. And seriously, $200? How can you beat that? I'm gonna go to GC tonight to try it out for myself, and may end up buying it.

But I have heard that the channels don't have independent EQ settings, so you'd basically have to reset them every time you switch to have it be decent. Which sounds kind of annoying.

So I was thinking - would a separate EQ pedal solve it?

It should. You could use the tone knob on your guitar as well.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Yes, you could just hit the pedal when you switch channels, and visa versa.

On the cheap, look at Danelectro Fish & Chips EQ, or if you have more to spend, look at the MXR 6 Band or the MXR 10 Band.

I believe Boss do a decent one as well, but I have no experience of one.

I would use a pre amp and use it when I change to a different channel.

Okay, another question, not really about EQ though: Would a 1- or 2-button footswitch be necessary?

Well one of the buttons probably switches channels. So that would be nice to go from the gain channel to the clean channel. The other probably turns on and off, the reverb.l
