Just as the title states, what are some?

Examples:

Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction
Motley Crue - Kickstart my Heart

etc. I don't really know too much.

This is for a high school pep assembly. it doesn't need to be long, preferably short and sweet. this needs to be learned on all instruments in a week and a half.

Shoot!

Ace of Spades.
A samurai once asked Zen Master Hakuin where he would go after he died. Hakuin answered 'How am I supposed to know?'
'How do you not know? You're a Zen master!' exclaimed the samurai.
'Yes, but not a dead one,' Hakuin answered.

What exactly does this have to do with shred, 80's, and prog?

I figured 80s would be the kind of music I'm going for. not necessarily shred. nor prog.

I wonder what the hell progressive has to do with an 80s forum anyway

prog and 80's rock both have 1 thing in common. Guitar played a big role in both. Since this is ultimate guitar and not ultimate musician

On topic try an david lee roth song vai era (yankee rose, going crazy) Pop on crazy outfits blaze out crazy guitar solo people will love it.
