the g string wont fully tune to a G it goes to F# and then the tuning key gets kinda hard to tune, like its going to snap the string

what kinda tuners do you have?

Are you sure that it is a G string? Try stretching it around before tightening it all the way. You're going to have to do that anyway.

Sounds to me like a problem with the tuner itself, I've had some crappy ones where the teeth on the cogs inside them have worn away and made it impossible to tune. But that's what your situation makes me think of...

17? That's pretty light for a G string, even a light one. I don't think the strings in danger of breaking. Its probably the tuners.

now i belive it's the tuner
because i just checked out a online tuner
it played the e-chord and my tuner picked it up as flat

so im just going to body slam my tuner for a few hours
thanks for the help

damn tuner!!!

well, sometimes the online tuners aren't always correct.

EDIT: BUT if it makes sense to you that's probably what it is. I don't wanna cause problems, I'm just saying that a good tuner is usually better than the ones online. Most of the online ones are at least pretty close.
