Does what you come up with sound like anyone else?

No?

That, my friend, is originality.

No. Shouldn't sound like those.

Should sound unique on it's own. Sound like nothing else.

wait if you mean like musically, do what Darkstar said
but if you mean just in general, just check if what you do resembles anyone that you think you would take from..

if u listen to a wide range of music it should automatically be your own style and you shouldn't give a f*ck

I really don't care much about being original, it's not something that should be tried for. I just do what I do because I like doing it. If it's original, yippee, if it's not, it still doesn't matter.

I don't really know what you're refering to, if its music than do what darkstar said.

TS just make your music and don't measure it by anyone else's standards. Don't think, 'oh this sounds too *whatever* to fit in my genre' and stuff like that. Avoid cliches, obviously. But just mainly don't be afraid to be completely yourself, and don't change a riff if you don't think it sounds enough like what a "real" band would do.
We're only strays.
