Everyone has seen acoustic guitar players who play a song and sing along to it. It work with almost every pop/rock song ever written, but what are some good songs that sound good when you sing along with a bass?
#3
might be hard but i actually think this idea could work for dear god a7x if your not a fan it doesnt sound like thier other songs and the bass line isnt like 8th notes it has some nice rythm

blister in the sun isn't bass.....but seven nation army by white stripes

Higher Ground - Red Hot Chili Peppers
/thread
By reading this magnificently and wonderful, adjective-filled signature, you have just wasted approximately 7 seconds of your life.
#8
Pink Floyd - Money is pretty fun to sing along to. Also if you play the guitar part to System of a Down - Roulette on the bass, you sing with that.
Slap a bass, not a ho.

Welcome Home. I know it's not really all that bass-y, but it's still fun as hell to sing and play along to.

Just about any bassline that parallels the guitar riff. Good example - Dani California.
Les Claypool
Geddy Lee
Robert DeLeo
Flea

Weileder

...Coincidence? I think not.

Any and all Slayer, Tom Araya seems to do it all the time... hmm

I usually sing along with Snow by RHCP or Toxicity by System of a Down. Not in public or anything, I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to hear me try and sing...

Oh, and I almost forgot Sweet Home Alabama, how can you not sing when you're playing that song?
maybe if you had a
revolver
you'd
suck less

Tommy the Cat is greeat fun to play and sing/skat/yell over

there is drunken footage of me doing it in my claypool beany to prove it!!!

muchos brummy accent + bad claypool impression + alcohol = hilarity, and the bass playing isnt TOO bad, but nor is it TOO good.

but yes, its fun to do.

and impresses foolish people

Time is Running Out, Hysteria, Eternally Missed and Easily - Muse

Schism - Tool

Breaking the Girl - RHCP

Alot of Motown stuff if you're capable of play+singing it - James Jamerson

Many songs where, as said earlier, the guitar and bass parallel eachother or where the bass is at the forefront of the mix, like the ones listed above.

If it's the loudest thing in the mix, most casual listeners will usually recognize the bass melody as "the song", rather than the guitar.
