I have an ESP Viper 400

I have some fret buzz on the low E around 2nd fret and a little on the 3rd string around 7th fret.

I know how to raise the bridge, adjust truss etc.

But its currently got new .10-46 slinkies on. The action feels really stiff. More so than my acoustic. Is there a way to adjust this? (will adjusting stop bar do anything?)

Or should I just drop back to .9s? I only play in standard tuning, but want something which bends reasonably easy.

On my strat copy, .11s were are a lot easier to play, admittely different scale neck.

yeah i prob will. its all pretty simple really. .10 too tight on it, was just hoping there was something i could do to adjust that tension. i have it at Eb for the time being.

you can check the middle relief.

fret the first fret low E and the last fret Low E where neck and body meet.

if there isnt enough gap, a little more bend will change playability, even if slightly.

also, make sure you work in the strings.
10's shouldnt be that stiff.

I think you have too high action on your electric. Try to lower it.
0.10 is no way too stiff...

ok, maybe you just like (are used to) 9s.

also, you can adjust the stop bar like asked.

you might feel more stiff it were all the way down, for example.

that's a preference thing. but some guys lift it a little. if you're adjusting, you might as well look into that.
