I was trying to plug a cable into the CD IN and was wiggling it and I heard a pop and a slight smell and now the amp comes on but no sound comes out


It's a 30W Spider.

Have you checked the fuses? Could be a HT fuse

If its not a fuse then you probably have big problems. Amps like spiders all the jacks are soldered directly to the board. So if you push a little to hard or wiggle the cable side to side it can put to much stress on the board itself or where the jack is soldered. If thats the case you might be able to do some temp fix but may or may not last to long. Sorry its just the way low priced stuff assembled in china is done any more.

If the fuse went then the amp wouldnt turn on...

Maybe youve blown a speaker, check the fuses anyway, if no sucess, chuck it, its an ss cheapo amp, itll cost more to get it fixed than what its actually worth.
