Hi,

I hace a CIJ Jazzmaster a couple of months now, and I'm having an issue.

When i bend the strings up on frets 14 - 20, it kinda "bottoms out". I can't hold a bend, because the note goes dead and it's the same kind of "deadness" one gets when bending the high E down off the fretboard.
Also, it seems the action is very rattle prone, like I'm always playing too hard. I have been using 11 gauge strings, I raised the action, but still, these issues are making me dislike the guitar.

Please advise if there's anything i need to do? Thanks!

Apparently it's a common problem. My mate has one and he fixed it by installing a Jaguar bridge (I think.)
You could also try raising your action.

If he replaced the bridge, it was likely with a mustang bridge, not a jaguar one.
