Yes, I'm joking

Oh well, Football is better. And I thought Rugby was invented by an American?

Edit:

"It contains a reference to him playing baseball. What intrigued me is he is playing it with a load of young ladies."

Oh that PLAYA.

No, was invented by an englishman who felt football would be better if you used your hands. The sport rugby is named after the town it was created in.

It's a great American tradition to take things from other places and improve them.

That made me laugh, purely for the obvious self justification.

Rugby was invented by William Webb Ellis, who was a schoolboy at Rugby.

i think you just named it, as opposed to coming up with it

tbh you cant expect a country thats only been around 200 years to have invented anything really, especially since everyone there is an immigrant so they have naturaly brought some of their past culture with them

but also native Americans invented jerked beef didn't they? (not that anyone but Americans eat it)

Yeah, Dr. James Naismith invented it so college students could have an indoor sport for winter. He was Canadian.

well thisis possibly at the bottom of the list of British inventions

i mean you forgot about Parliamentary democracy, civil liberties, the steam engine, telephone, concorde, www., football, the fax machine, flushable toilet, the internal combustion engine, radar, television, toilet paper, viagra and so on and so forth

i thought this was common knowledge,

Everyone knows that everything of significance was invented by either a Scot, a German or the Chinese
then the English took it and made it work for the Empire

then the Americans stole it, changed it a little and called it their own

then it must be the assembly line that was invented by Ford.

i know for a fact the Phillip's head screw was invented in the US, but that barely counts as it's a slight modification. guess modification is the only thing the US is good for
