There's so many wah threads, this is even annoying me. But I can't find the massive wah thread, and I'm looking for a wah pedal.

I used to have a Snarling Dog Mold Spore, but got rid of it because it didn't have true by-pass. I've been looking at Morley's (Bad Horsie's and the normal), Dunlop Crybabys (although I find the sweep of the pedal very small) and I've been trying to find a Vox to try.

Can anyone give me a bit of guidance?

the morley mark tremonti is the best of the morley wahs IMO.
i used to be a mod, then i took an arrow in the knee.

i might get flamed for saying this but why do people go on about cry babys all the time? ive used one and it just sounds like any wah pedal, except not as good because you cant ajust the parameters....am i missing something?

What? Almost everyone knows the basic Dunlop wah is crap. Only good for modding, and even then, it's an expensive chassis

Like I said, I didn't think it was too clever. The Slash one is WAY too expensive for what it is, a bad overdrive pedal in a bad wah.

Sounds like Morley's are fairly popular.

From shops around where I live, I could pick one up for around £70-£120. That sound about right?

Vox wahs are really good, so are the new jimi hendrix wahs. i would just try a bunch out. chances are you local guitar shop will cary a couple types of wahs. me, i ws lucky beacuse betweent he two in my town, they had a couple morleys, LOADS of dunlops and a handful of Vox wahs. i liked the Crybabys myself, but whatever you like, regardless of the price, you should get it.
