Is this possible? Like an EMG and a Seymour Duncan JB
The JB is splittable to play soft clean tones or moderate rock tones to the EMG which is obviously for high gain stuff
I don't want to have to buy a guitar for every kind of music.

dimarzio d sonic for the bridge...some other high gain for the neck. id say that the d sonic is possibly the greatest pickup ever produced.

It's commonly said that no you cannot do this, but you CAN mix passive/active pickups. The thing is you just can't play with the "middle" position, IE they won't work at the same time.

But honestly just get an EMG 81/89tw set (if you want actives) or a SD Jazz/JB set (if you want passives).
