Assignment was to come up with a "balanced natural composition" by adding something into the picture to make the picture balanced.

So I wasn't going to lug stuff around so I had to make do with a scene from my yard, and you can tell what I added:

Someone caught onto what I was doing and said the picture reminded them of "Teenage wasteland"

But people couldn't get over my sacrificial offering of cheap guitars for the sake of art. It was like one big gasp in the room.

And before any photo gurus come in:
Yes I know the foreground is out of focus, I shot it at the wrong time of the day, etc etc. I wasn't happy with the outcome at all, but apparently it worked for the class. Nikon D70 with Nikkor 20mm MF for those wondering.

I always cringe when people break guitars on purpose... but that's because I'm poor and couldn't get a new one

Not quite the right shape, but do you mind if I use it as my desktop, TS. It's sweet.
EDIT: Somewhat beaten, sorta.

Looks really good, to bad you had to kill some guitars, but now you can use them for smashing later.
Lets jump in a pool

Dude freaking sick pic

I kinda cringe at the loss of life here in the pic,
but it's awesome.

Definite desktop status

Do you have a higher resolution version of that? I'd love to make that my desktop as well.

I'll work on that for you.

Total cost of photo: $0. The guitar in the foreground and the acoustic are my friends, they were ruined in a flood. The top and back were separating from the acoustic and I just unbolted the neck on the other one. I'll have to check and see what it is.

niiice man. its sick. what a nasty backyard. lol. looks like sewage leakage! haha. jk. its my desktop wallpaper now! thanks man. its totally awesome.

Judging from the pickguard, pickup placement, and the controls, yes.

I think the fact that the foreground is out of focus makes it look better.
