NO! NONONONO!
6505 + G12T75 = crap.

Get some greenbacks (6505's LOVE the green!) or V30's.

Box=Speaker Cabinet or Cab
Never call it a box.
Speakers to look at are Greenback, G12H, G12K-100, Eminence Swamp Thang and Eminence Texas Heats

I bought a 6505+ a few months back and A/Bed it with a ton of different cabs, including two Peavey cabs. To me, as a lead guitarist, the brightest, crispest sound I got was through the Peavey XXX cab and that's what I went with. I've been very happy with it. The 6505 cab was much darker and didn't cut through as much. They really were night and day. I would definitely recommend the XXX cab if you're doing much lead work and really need to cut through the rest of the band at times.

Let me know how it goes for you. I've been very happy with mine and if you're looking for a crisp, edgy sound, you should like the XXX.

Orange 4x12,
Mesa Traditional,
Marshall 1960AV,
Vader,
ENGL.

Don't know about your price range but check those brands out.

I cannot stress enough how good a Vader cab. sounds with this amp.
I owned the 6505 non plus head and a Vader cab. over the summer
until I realized I simply don't have the space so I had to sell it.
If not Vader
And Engl, VHT, or Mesa cab loaded with V30's would be my other suggestions.

For whatever reason (probably the killer mid spike) they sound better for metal. They sound really good with the 6505. I'd go with V12 Legends next. Keep in mind, that's just for metal.

like any marriage,..v30's and high gain amps are pretty much ying and yang

do v30's work with every amp??..hell no!..i tried a mesa cab with my jcm800 (when i had it) it it completely nuetered it!

any peavey hi gain amp hates thin high/mid range speakers..throw a cheap cab in the mix and you have the fizzy mess that ya have read about!

i currently have a xxx with a mesa recto cab with v30's...and i would strongly suggest anyone with a hi gain amp...(especialy a peavey.)..to at least try a v-30 cab out.....

listen with your own ears...then you will understand the love people have for the v-30 ....

try before ya buy!

good luck!!!!
