Ok, so I've got an Ibanez RG320FM with the Edge III Tremolo system. I haven't had problems with it before, besides it taking ages to restring/tune. However, recently the screws holding the spring-plate have completely destroyed the wood in which they go. So I replaced them with larger ones, thinking they'd hold. Annoyingly they only held for about 2 weeks and now have eaten the wood again (gah!!) rendering the guitar unplayable .
So I'm wondering: what are my choices, besides buy a new guitar?
I'm guessing I could fill the holes with some kind of filler and then re-screw but I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
