I have a roland cube 30X and its great but i was wondering if it would be possible to use a dist/OD pedal with the clean channel to sorta get a crunch sound in between clean and lead for chords and that. if this would be good idea, what are the best pedals for the job??
cheers

Maxon OD808, OD9, Boss OD3. Or on a low budget, Boss SD1.

The Cube can do a crunch sound on its own....there's more than enough amp models.

it can but i want to add a third channel effectively, so i can use a higher gain lead model, and more of an overdrive sound in between
