I'm going to be trying out a few different tele's soon. My question is how dirty can they get for rhythm play? For thick distorted chords do they come off as "thin" or are they capable of beefy rhythm sounds? I'm assuming a pup swap may change the thin sound, if so can someone recommend me a dirty high output bridge pup for a tele. Thanks. DB

Yes but his (Jim Root) is custom with a mahogany body and emg pickups

I've seen slipknot 5 times in my life, definitely not looking for the Jim Root tele. Say a standard mim or lite ash tele? There must be single coils that are similar to a regular sized humbucker with today's technology? Any suggestions?

Want to try a 72? Bucker in the neck and single in the bridge. There's one with 2 buckers.
But a pickup switch would sound like a good idea.
