So I just got myself a Toneport GX and figured out how to use it.

If you guys have any neat settings for the Gearbox (regardless of whether it's bass, guitar, or vocals), do post it up here. Thanks.

I remember you!

Why don't you get a UX1 and keep the extra money so you can get a better mic? Just my two cents. It's not like you're getting a whole bunch of extra inputs.

Been dabbling around a bit, will put up some settings soon.

Any ideas how to put it up fast instead of manually checking and typing it here?

For *decent* metal rhythm tones (for recording I 100/0 L 0/100 R track them, 2 of them.) I use

1993 Solo 100 Head

4x12 1996 Brit Celest V-30's

Drive 76%

Bass 53%

Mids 88%

Treble 100%

Presence 74%

Volume 46%

Noise gate - -35 db 0%

Screamer - Drive 50% Gain 50% Tone 100%

Cab = 0% room, 57 on axis

Compressor - Threshold -20 db Gain 4 db

EQ - Um. Boosted lows, some half boosted mids, and boosted highs.

Reverb - Medium Hall - Predelay 0%, Decay 50%, Tone 56%, Mix 25% =)

You can hear this tone in my profile under the 'Guitar Skills' section, only mp3 on there is the Shred one. It's the lead tone used on that.

I used this and messed around with a bit to make it deeper. Thanks.
