I am looking to build my own cables. But before I do I have a couple of questions.

I am looking for 35ft of cable total. For two 15 footers and some patch cables.

I'm hoping the price of building the cable myself will save some money but still turn out better quality than the mass manufactured cables by using better components.

      Any help would be appreciated.

Get good quality cable and terminals, solder properly, sleeve/hitshrink the end to eliminate possible shorts from tugs and such.
It should sound just as good as any premade cable with the same quality wiring.
Also, don't get speaker cable and think it'll sound good. Easy mistake to make considering they can look the same.

Yes, but I am asking for links to the cable and plugs.

i want to tell you not to buy switchcraft. theyre cheap and tempting, but they freakin suck. i have one and it's trash. i use it to connect the footswitch to my amp. no for my pedals.. just the footswitch. as for cable. you can use any decent quality instrument cable that doesnt twist or gnarl a lot. better get some good quality plugs. planet waves is good.

So what cables and plugs should I buy?

And how is the performance compared to the mass produced cables?

      That is some GREAT cable.

I would just go on eBay and get some Neutriks, or some Neutrik like ones. I'm not too big on brand names...

And if you build the cable right, solder everything well, you'll be making something as good/better than what's on the shelf. That cavble I linked is already way better than most stuff on the shelf.

Should I go with Klotz, Mogami, or Canare cables?
