Pirate Squander

We used to sail around together,
Along every ocean wave and wonder,
No place to be, but that just didn’t matter,
Dancing on sand and islands enchanted,
We were already where we wanted,
No map, just the stars as they scattered,

And the sea came sometimes be rough,
And the sail won’t go up,
And you pray that you will never sink,
But if the boats a good one, and this boat was a good one,
Then jig away sir and have another drink,

We used to pretend that we found treasure,
Full of diamonds jewels and silver,
Threw it overboard, because it never mattered,
Dancing on sand and islands enchanted,
We were already where we wanted,
What good is it, when you already have what you want?

And the sea came sometimes be rough,
And the sail won’t go up,
And you pray that you will never sink,
But if the boats a good one, and this boat was a good one,
Then jig away sir and have another drink,

We used to sail around together,
Along every ocean wave and wonder,
Until a storm called when we were sleeping,
Even the finest woods go rotten,
This ships fine wood had gone rotten,
And I didn’t want to swim, so I drowned,

Now I’m sleeping with the silver,
And am lost within the treasure,
The same treasure that I once threw overboard,
And I’m the kiss that’s on the map,
The one that you’re all seeking,
It’s the better things that I have had before.

Yarr.
And Like That. He was Gone.
