Ok well me and some of my buddies wanted to build our own guitars (from kits).

I thought it would be fun to make a unique guitar built by myself and possibly a little cheaper.

What are some good kits?

Can you buy kits from some of the major producers?
(Fender, Gibson, Ibanez, Dean, Schecter, Jackson, Dean, ect.)

The build it yourself Carvin kits (here) are pretty much idiot proof and you end up with a really high quality guitar.

You can also get the parts yo need from Warmoth, but that can get pricey fast if you get high quality parts.

And no, those brands you listed don't have kits.

Warmoth has all kinds of bodies. You said Dean twice.
Schecter Stiletto Studio 5
Ibanez SRX2EX1
Gallien Krueger 1001rbii
Gallien Krueger Neo 410

grizzly sells machinery no mention of guitar kits. Your not going to find a major brand selling kits be a bit counter productive for them. And they also dont want the loose parts floating around to be used on knock off guitars. You are going to need to spend some decent money if you want a decent guitar. Those 200 dollar kits are not going to be any better than a cheap preassembled guitar.

I have had the pleasure of building guitars from Grizzly and they are fantastic but pricey. I prefer to either cut my own bodies and buy the rest of the parts.
