Alright so I've been planning on putting together a guitar for a while (no built from scratch but attaching pieces). The plan is to use a 72 telecaster deluxe body (alder or ash) and a 72 telecaster neck (maple with matching fretboard) in a 25.5 scale. The key thing I want is to put in aftermarket pickups (Brass Knuckle Nailbombs) and do some wiring and painting. My question is this. I've been trying to price the pieces from sites like warmoth and buying some of the parts from ebay as compared to buying a Fender 72 Telecaster Deluxe reissue and repainting/replacing the pickups and wiring. I'll give you guys the numbers I've found and get your opinion on this:

Musiciansfriend.com: 72 reissue Fender Telecaster $700

Warmoth: Alder body $160
Pro Neck $157
Strat Bridge $40
installed nut $30
tuners $50
jack socket $10
Shipping $???

I didn't include the price of pots, toggle switch, wiring, or pickups because those are all things that would be replaced if I bought the 72 reissue. So what do you guys think? Or should I just find a luthier near my location (San Antonio)
