I have a epiphone sheraton which i brought 2 days ago, i started to play the guitar and noticed that on the top 3 strings EAD fret buzz. From frets 2 up to 20 on the E string, from fret 1 up to fret 20, on the A string from fret 1 up to fret 20 and on the D string a slight buzz from fret 20, and the G string also has fret buzz from fret 1 up to 20. what could be the cause of this?

Either the action is too low or the truss rod needs to be adjusted. How much experience do you have with guitars?

Dunlop 535Q Wah, Ibanez TS-9, EHX LBM
Mesa/Boogie Express 5:25
MXR 6-band EQ, Boss NS-2, Boss PS-5, MXR Phase 90, MXR Carbon Copy

GAS: Micro POG

truss rod and action has to be adjusted. i suggest taking it to a luthier, or a very skilled tech. or adjust it yourself.

I also have fret buzz on my Ibanez. Luckily i dont have it nearly as bad as you. I only have it on E fret 12-14 which i hardly use but i would also like a way to fix it.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Maybe raise one side of the the bridge. You know where the saddles are, there's 2 screws. The one on the left, turn that and it should go up.

Also im guessing if your getting that much fret buzz over that many frets it might be the bridge or possibly the leveling of the nut.
#8
if you can do it yourself, here are the possible causes for the buzz.
1st few frets = nut problem
7th to 9th fret = truss rod
12th fret onwards = action

TS
where did you buy this guitar?

when you left the shope was it buzzing like this?

you might want to tell them to get rid of the buzz or you'll return it.
with that said,

fret the Low E first fret, at the same time
fret the low E last fret where the neck and body meet.

with both places held look at the middle frets 7-9th

if the string lays on the middle fret wire there, then you dont have enough relief.
if the string is more than a credit cards thickness up from the wire there,
then you have too much relief.

measure and post back.

Can you please just post like normal? What's up with trying to make the tittle bold red and that blue font? Try to change your theme to UG black and see how stupid it would look.
