Ok, so I desperately need a new amp, my old amp can't get loud enough to play at shows and it's half broken. Well I'm not good with the whole amp thing, so I'm going to ask for some advice here. I'm looking to spend around $500-600 and I need it to be loud enough to play shows. I play a pretty wide range of styles, some examples are Brand New, Modest Mouse, Taking Back Sunday(old), The Ergs, The Queers, Screeching Weasel, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Television, Johnny Thunders, and more stuff like that. So I would like a good amp that can handle all that kind of stuff and be loud enough to play shows with, thanks. Also, I'm willing to buy used if it will get me a better amp.
I'm the same as I was when I was six years old
And oh my god I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything

Anything from Alternative Rock to Punk, basically. He'll need some good cleans, yes.
I'm putting my GAS on hold
for a couple months in order to pimp my ride.

Don't judge me.

I'd highly reccomend this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Traynor-YCV50BLUE-Tube-Guitar-Amp-Traynor-ycv-50_W0QQitemZ110263472144QQihZ001QQcategoryZ3278QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247

It's been described as having Marshally OD with Fendery cleans. I really think it's one of the best amps for the money. It's got plenty of gain for punk/hard rock type stuff. Won't do metal though if you're interested in that.

The classic 30 would work well too, perhaps even a Blues deluxe or something too.

^Definitely pick up an OD if you're go that route.

Definetly. Besides having little, gain, the drive is kinda not that great sounding too. Perhaps it's desierable for those genres, though I don't think so.
