Hi Guys, i am looking into buying this:
http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/alesis-multimix-6fx/11170

And i want to record it directly to a laptop, with the only jacks being headphone, microphone and USB.

I was wondering if i could use one of these, and put it into the microphone jack http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=31700

yes you should be able to do that. however, your laptop soundcard isnt really going to give you the best sound quality for recording. ill move this to riffs and recordings where they will help you more. however, i suggest you read the stickies there as well because they have lots of good info.

That may not give you the BEST results, but it will work. One exception though. You'll need to run that cable into the LINE IN on your laptop (from the mains on the mixer). In reality a mixer won't get you very far when recording at home. I recommend checking out audio interfaces. Something from M-Audio or PreSonus.
