i was trying to switch my pickguard on my strat to a different one and i messed up something on my 5-way selector on my strat
if you have the selector facing you, then the 1st two settings work (more bass-y ones), but then the middle and the 4th setting are the same and are only adjustable by the lower tone knob (sorry, i dont know if its bridge or pickup; but its the more treble-y one)

i am not sure what happened, i had some trouble getting the lower tone control knob out of the pickguard when i switched it though, and i guess thats the one thats messing up

the tone knobs both work in adjusting the tone, but the 5-way selector is not working right

alright so i can stop sounding liek an assclown

heres what i found:
pointed to the neck it does the neck pickup.
click it once down and u get the neck and the middle pickup together.
click it to the middle and get the middle pickup.
click it down again and get the middle and bridge pickup together.
pointed down towards the bridge, and u get the bridge pickup alone.

so the neck pickup (position 1) works
so does position 2

In positions 3 and 4 with the bridge pickup, it sounds exactly the same with no difference

i hear no sound on position 5 with the bridge pickup
could it be messed up?
how would i find out?
