I'm looking into a new guitar. I want 24 frets, maple fretboard would be nice but i'm not that picky, humbucker in the bridge i don't car if its HSS HSH HS or just H. a light body, well balanced, and strat like body. NO TREM SYSTEM! budget of 300 or under.... maybe upto 500 but if it's 500 then it has to be to my specs. Ideally something like paul gilbert's cause he's my hero but any way i have my eye on this...

...but i don't want my search to be limited so any suggestions would be great! thanks

For what you want, looks like an Ibanez RG is by far, the best bet.

I'm a Schecter devotee as you can see, but one of these may be what you're after. Again, though, when it comes to guitars you have to go and try them yourself if at all possible.

If all you had to go on was the forum you'd think a Decimator could cure noise caused by dodgey stage lighting and restock the ocean's population of sperm whales
