Some people have doubts on how a semi-hollow will do in genres that require high-gain, like metal, hard rock and whatnot. Just how versatile can a semi-hollow be in the extremes?

What exactly is you personal opinion on the matter?

I've played hardcore breakdowns with my hollowbody on stage

All you need is a good noise suppressors and you're gold. It also helps to coincidently wander very far away from your amp.

But anyway, I'll further this:
A Gibson Byrdland into Peavey 6505s.
He sounds great. And only feedbacks when it's good for him, so yeah. Hollowbodies can go pretty far.
