Anybody know if there is any good copies of Musicman Axis guitars around? With FR, of course.
Here's a pic for reference:

How about saving up for the real deal? It's worth it!

I second that option. Those necks are possibly the best I've ever played, Ibanez Wizard I and II didn't even come close.

Is it thicker than the wizards?

What about the neck on that OLP MM1 model. Any similarities to the real thing?

It's because I'm a cheap bastard :p Can't have fifteen hundred $ fast enough to please my urge.

Yes, but alot smoother and better feeling

I can second that: My Axis' neck is HEAVEN.
Its so silky smooth. You dont even notice its right there in your hand, THAT's how smooth it is.

I haven't held an EB Axis, but I've played a few of the Peavey ones, which had similar necks. I owned an OLP for awhile. On the plus side, the OLP feels great, is well assembled, has good pickups, and an alright trem, it feels nothing like the Peavey, which had similar necks compared to the MusicMan. The Peavey played a lot smoother, and h ad a brighter sound. The harmonics were a lot better as well. The OLP are GREAT guitars for what you'll pay, but they aren't really anything like the Axis or Wolfgang.

I have an Olp MM1 for my first guitar, I like it.

I think im pretty lucky. My cousin recommended it to me, then bought one for himself. And he makes his own guitars so he knows his stuff.

*Edit*

Oh yeah there is a flloyd rose one too. Look on the site.

SOmeone said they don't seel them anymore though, so I dunno.
