Get all their albums.

Good enough, VG?

Or has this all been some evil faux pa

(Can't remember how to spell that second word )

faux pas

and i hardly ever listen to VS and Dragonheads, the first two with Jari are so much better IMO

Iron is worlds better then Victory Songs.

Both Iron and Ensiferum are much better than Victory Songs IMO. Might have to do with the fact that personally I prefer Jari's vocals over Petri's...

There, that explains it.

I don't like Jari's vocals

What's with all the folk metal in the power metal thread, when the folk metal thread itself is empty?

I have no idea how Ensiferum even got into the discussion of this thread.

Anyways, anyone here ever listen to At Vance?

It's their only "popular" song if you can even call it that. I personally like it alot.

WOW, I just got back from Helloween and Gamma Ray and it was ****ing awesome. I caught two guitar picks to boot (One from Kai and one from Sasha).

A bit? I'd be pretty jelous. Where I was Gamma Ray/Helloween were playing the DAY after Opeth. Plus my friends were going to Opeth so it was one or the other.

I saw Helloween and Gamma Ray with Axxis last December

It was fucking awesome indeed! Also it was pretty cool when Andi Deris of Helloween said "This song is the latest single from our new album..." and I was the first one to shout "AS LONG AS I FAAAALL" and he replied "Yep, As Long As I Fall"
I’m not the man I used to be, I... I can’t go back to Arkham.

I... I should return to Arkham.

You Can Do It is awesome off that album. Pure cheese.

When I saw them at Bloodstock, I Want Out was great. As soon as it started, one of the guitarists sort of started bobbing around the stage.

Sounds like a great show.

Axxis are actually pretty good, but can be very inconsistent, which is a shame.

I've still rec'd them here a couple of times though, I think.

As horrible as their name is, Fairyland
You can even decide between female (Of Wars in Osyrhia) and male (The Fall of an Empire) vocals, I prefer the latter one

They're like Rhapsody, but a lot better imo

The Bells Of The Seven Hells is my favourite from the latest album, it's so heavy and they even played it live

Their singer was doing this really weird... err... I'm not sure if you can even call it headbanging

Definitely wanna see Gamma Ray and Helloween live again

Good I recently found em. I have come to love Victory Songs, since it reminds me of home, and when I once where travelling the highlands of Scotland.

Well, you scored 3 out of 4.

I love a lot of Helloween and Gamma Ray's stuff, and Stratovarius is just godly.

I'm recommending all of you Dreamtale's album "Difference". Do it.

I saw Firewind supporting Divine Heresy, and Dark Tranquility, and I gotta say, I loved the heavy of the other bands, but Firewind's shredder (Gus G.) Kicked major ass. They have some members of Helloween, Nightfall, Time Requiem, Dream Evil. For those that don't know, they are missing out big time.

awesome band.

I can't believe no one's said Cellador. great american power metal band. new album about to come out, too. http://www.myspace.com/cellador

And i dunno if they could actually be considered power, but Wolf is sort of like Hammerfall, but less cheesy, more dark, and they are amazing. http://www.myspace.com/wolfheavymetal

And praise to whoever said Steel Attack, they're righteously kickass.

Arthemis is pretty sweet power/heavy mteal band from Italy.

Within Temptation is ****ing killer, too.

Crown The Lost is another great american power metal band.
