not really unless it has one on already, I guess if you didn't mind a bit of work you could plane the top down a bit and glue on a flame maple cap

If you sand the whole thing to bare wood, you can put a flame maple veneer over the top yeah.

(this should probably be in GB&C btw)

You can if you pop down to a wood dealer or vaneer specialist.

Get a vaneer of the flame maple (might cost a bit) sand down your guitar and glue it in place, cut out the pickup cavity/neck cavity with a Stanley Knife, cut around the body and you're done... (Not too sure if it'd work, but it's an idea.)

OR

You can buy a paper print out of any flamed/figured wood, apply it to the face of your guitar...

EDIT: beaten to it..

Yeah but basswood doesnt have a great grain, so it would only be worth it if you had a flame maple top making it the frong look good.

Well, odds are, that you'll also be applying a clear topcoat after applying the green paint.

So you would take the color green that you want, and use a glossy topcoat (a couple layers at least).

Find a block of wood to test it on though to make sure that the topcoat doesn't affect the green in a way that you don't like the way it looks. Just paint the wood block how you would your guitar, and see how it comes out. If it comes out satisfactory, then work on the guitar.
