Yeah a tubbed amp would be good but whats a good reccomendation on a tubbed amp lol. Also are they likely to blow?

Are tubbed amps louder then normal amps because in the 300 dollar price range I can get a 15w amp or a 100w amp.

Epiphone Valve juniors are cheap and I've heard good things. remember that tube watts are louder than SS watts.

You'll NEVER need a 100w amp, people gig with 40 watt tubes. Just because it has more wattage doesn't mean IT'LL BE M0R3 BR00T4LZ

theres a shitload of fail in this thread already.
you people suggesting to go "tubbed" are probably bandwagon hoppers, eh?
You don't even know what he wants to play.

So what do you want to play?

EDIT: Okay, i didn't finish reading. Punk.

I think you'd probably be fine playing punk with a decent SS.
It's not as reliant on tone as some other genres.

I guess like punk rock and stuff like that. But really even though punk is the main type of music I like to play I mostly just want an amp thats going to last and be usefull and not replaced after a month.

Crap you edited before I finished typing lol

^He's playing punk, says in the OP.

Hmm, see if you can find a classic 30 used, if you want something giggable, if you just want a practice amp a cube or a valvetronix would be stellar.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

Then you don't want a frontman. Look into Peavey Vypyrs.
