so i just ordered a new epiphone valve special amp

do you think i will need an overdrive peda with it to reach metallica and black sabbath and if so what one.

was looking around $100 AU

The MXR Wylde Overdrive isn't bad. I think it's 130 in Australia. The only thing is mine and my friends both aren't very reliable. If you replace the switch it fixes that problem though.

Bad Monkey. You won't find a better cheap OD.

The OS-2 is decent (I had one) but the OD-1 is a turd.

yeah i was looking at an OS-2
will probably go with that for $110

If you want a mix of OD and distortion, the OS-2 is a good deal. If, however, you want pure overdrive, then the Bad Monkey may be a better bet.
