Ok so my guitar teacher is looking to sell his marshall avt150 valvestate 2000, this is one of the old ones, not the new avt tibute ones, he wants £350 for it with the pedal and all and i totally trust him on the price and everything, he's a great guy. But i was wondering are the old ones good? ive heard bad stories about the new ones and good stories about the old ones, anyone have one, tried one or just wanna give an opinion on it, how'd it sound, reliablitly tha kinda thing, thanks. + its in pefect condition.
They're pretty much the same as new ones; still not particularly good. £350 is WAY too much, though.
yeah I agree, you should ask for a lower price
Yeah, i'd ask for about a hundred for it, they were good at best.
for £350 there are several better amps out there then the valvestate.
Any sugestions then if not the valvestate, i was looking for that marshall bluesy, hard rock/classic rock tone?
Laney VC30 or AOR Pro Tube.
definitely check out laneys, also peavey classic 30 or if you could stretch your budget a bit you could look into an orange rocker 30, new or used.
