Post your favorite/IYO the best powerchord riffs. Riffs with added notes STILL DO count, such as Back in Black. Include a link if the song might not be well known.

The first three "hits" are powerchords, then comes the pull off sequence, then the same three powerchords and then the thingy on the low E and A strings and that repeats itself so I guess it's a half-powerchord riff.

Best powerchord riff ever: Rock you like a Hurricane!

i love how there are two nirvana songs on the first page. Never before had power chords sounded so amazing. Then Kurt was born.

also, to the guy that said Tourette's, +1.

SMTS by Nirvana is pretty amazing too, but very cliche.

Iron Man isn't the greatest, just the best known.

let's see... im gonna say.

another great one: Rape Me by Nirvana

to me, the greatest is probably

SMTS or Rape Me. neither of which are my favorites, but probably the greatest.

you are right, but he said it could have some extra notes (i think he says that for the pull off sequence). and rock you like a hurricane is great, but iron man is just killer.

Actually the second "hit" as you called it is a D chord without the high e XD

And Basket Case is a great power chord riff btw

Something by Nirvana I guess. Cobain wasn't exceptionally good on the guitar, but he sure knew his way around powerchords
