I think you need to stop caring what people think about it. I stayed home all day today and masturbated like 5 times. Fucking blast.

Brad Paisley was the guy who introduced me to Country music. Because of him, I would never have gotten into Merle Travis, Chet Atkins and Tommy Emmanuel.
Also, listening to Les Paul was the guy who introduced me to Django Reinhardt.

I had seen pictures of Marilyn Manson before and though, "What a poser," until my friend showed me Nick Zinner's (Guitar Hero III) Putting Holes in Happiness remix. I started listening to Manson's real music, and I never would've gotten into that whole shock rock genre and industrial music if it wasn't for him.

Through Tenacious D, or just by itself

I downloaded a lot of Jedi Mind Tricks songs, which got me into hardcore rap more than I thought I ever thought I would. Animal Rap/Battle Cry/On The Eve of War/Trinity were all big ones.

Killswitch Engage- Rose Of Sharyn

Turned me into quite a metal head. I was into Creed, Alterbridge, InMe and a load of other rock stuff before then, so the basis for a love of metal was there. =)
Since then, I've moved onto Shadows Fall and Seemless, though I guess they're contrasting in style...

I can't really identify single songs. I could think of one or two artists.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

Sum 41 got me into rock. I was real young and liked all the radio trash kids liked in 4th grade.
Linkin Park got me into harder music. Again, real young, but it was accessible to me and it was like nothing i've ever heard. I was raised in classic rock, so i had the foundations, but Linkin Park was raw and powerful.

Looking back, it sounds real pukey, but without LP i wouldn't have gotten into anything without clean vocals. Sum 41, namely brownsound, inspired me to play guitar. Say what you want about them, but those bands will always mean something.
