Has anyone else tried it? I like it so far, but it seems to take up too much memory.

Really horrible for me....
Takes too much time to load up everything.
But the front page is nice.

To much memory?

Yeah if your computer is 10 years old.

I've been using it since day one.

Oh and you better not be a firefox fan talking about memory usage.
#6
I was going to say, in like Captain Ron, I find that Google Chrome takes up a fraction of the memory that Firefox took up.

Only thing I can't wait for is Add-on's like Firefox, then I'll be absolutely sold. Just can't do without my DL helper <33

I have it. It's great. I'm big on going incognito, because I hate it when people go through my history. Not because I look at porn, it's just a thing.

Well..I like it..but I like how firefox keeps all my tabs whenever I close it and re-open it. If chrome could do that (Can it?) then I'd use it more.

Yeah it does, I would know. I had to restart the browser 3 times in the last 30 minutes.

Why did you have to restart it so much?

It locks up whenever I try to use Photobucket.

It's all near the top right hand corner. There should be a "other bookmarks" button, and above that lets you choose to open a new tab, window, or "incognito" window.
#23
lol....
Going incognito doesn't affect the behavior of other people, servers, or software. Be wary of:
Websites that collect or share information about you
Internet service providers or employers that track the pages you visit
Malicious software that tracks your keystrokes in exchange for free smileys
Surveillance by secret agents
People standing behind you

Incognito freezes up on me a whole lot though, so I don't use it too much.

I haven't had any problems with it.

My browser has only crashed once, which is way less than my IE (I've never used FireFox). Good thing about IE, though: You can use Real Player to download YouTube videos. Not so on Google Chrome

EDIT: YES! I can quote posts on here now! IE always crashed when I tried to do that. I Google Chrome.

Just did a comparison of the two.

I dislike Google chrome - it uses a lot of memory, MORE then Firefox.

"Stock" Firefox - 40Mb.
"Stock" Google Chrome - 50Mb. [+ chrome is really laggy - mouse moves slow]

I'll stick with my heavily customised FF [which uses 80mb tops].

Really? I find it goes the other way.

FF uses more if you have themes, extensions, etc.
Btw, if you open task manager, chrome is listed multiple times - add them together to get the actual memory usage. Adds up to around 50Mb.

But, at least firefox doesn't spy on what your doing [feels that way with chrome], or keep part of it open even if you close it >_< [it keeps a program open - which is annoying!].

This is a pretty sweet browser, I just downloaded it after I read this thread. I'll be switching back and forth between Firefox and Chrome for the next week or two to see what I like more.

Are there any big things that you guys don't like about Chrome besides memory usage?
#33
If you want to compare memory usage in Chrome, use about:memory. Chrome will usually use more memory than other browsers, but that's part of the design.

Unless its anti-crash measures (such as FF, thus a bit more memory), then your sentence makes no sense.

FF uses more memory then IE because that's part of the design. :P
