Hiya fellas,
I've got a nice little ska/punk band started with a couple of my friends, but the amp I am currently using isn't really cutting it from where we are practicing. Its a smaller amp so it loses a lot of sound quality when i make it louder.

So I was wondering if someone could help me find a new amp preferably under 1000$.
I just need something that gets a nice clean tone like Streetlight Manifesto or Reel Big Fish and still get heavy distortion like The Flaming Tsunamis or Suicide Machines.

any help is much appreciated!!

That amp might be a good choice.

And the guitar you have may play a small part of your sound - so is important.
So, what one are you playing?

i as well play alot of sa punk, and i use an orange. i got that awesome TFT hardcore tone plus awesome cleans. but for your budget, try a nice fender supersonic or deville with a nice distortion pedal. but those bands generally use marshall jcm series amps

I think you owe it to yourself to at least go check out some of these used amps. Damn, there is a lot of nice gear down there. I didn't purposely search on Fender as it may appear. I just searched on 'amp' under musical instr. Maybe someone else knows more about them. My guess is you would need a OD pedal or something to push to punk. Classic 30 will have more british grit on tap.

Fender '71 Princeton Reverb $875. Might need an OD.

I'd jump on the Princeton Reverb.

Might be a bit smoothe for punk, but it will do a nice skank.
