I don't own one, but I've played them. Very nice amps.

The Legacy and the MTS were the runners-up before I got the excellent deal on my Peavey. 6/10 for clean tone, I'd say, with a 8/10 for OD, especially for the prices you can get them at. Steve Vai uses Legacies that are, to my knowledge, completely stock on stage. Carvin is classy stuff.

Carvin guitars? How can a guitar have a measurement of distortion?

I like them a lot. Very well made and fair priced guitars. Good quality stuff.
Edit: Oh I thought you mean the legacy of the Carvin company.

Never used a Carvin amp.

LaPatrie Etude DEMO

They sound nice, but they're LOUD. Hard to get decent drive at a low volume. If you're going to get it, go for the combo.

sooo......good amp or not?

this one or the randall kirk hammet sig. stack

Between the Randall and the Carvin, go with the Carvin. Purely for the price.
