I tried a thread like this a few weeks ago, but I didn't get any help, so here goes again...

Often, when I'm playing on my amp, it will make a popping noise and immediately cut out. I can remedy this by turning off the standby or power switch then turning it back on.

It happens so often, I have a hard time recording anything, and it's annoying as hell.

Does anyone know what's wrong/how to fix it?

btw, my amp is a Peavey Triumph 60; as far as I know it's all-tube, if that helps.

Sounds to me like there may be trouble with either the jack on the guitar, the input jack on the amp, or possibly your cable. Check both of the jacks and try a different cable and see if that helps out any.

That doesn't make sense since flipping it to standby and then back fixes it.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not
